Do I need a Credit Card
Many
millions of people have a lot of debt on their credit cards,
at the same time there are many millions that don't even use
a credit card and get by just as well. The question is. why?
At
a young age credit card companies throw offers down our throats.
The banks are normally the first to issue you a debit card and
when you come to university age you start receiving the credit
card "junk mail".
It's
at this point many people start their "Debt Life"
as there is little money coming in and so much to pay out if
you pursue an education. There is also increasing pressures
to use credit cards. Saftey is one factor, many people don't
like carrying cash around for saftey reasons and with many news
reports of cash machine pick pockets it is understandable.
There
is no reason why you can't use a credit card and not get into
debt. Many people who keep out of debt use their card for the
convenience only and pay their balance off at the end of the
month. However not everyone can do that.
In
order to avoid getting into debt you have to keep a constant
tab on your finances and keep one step ahead. If you don't you
can find yourself short on cash and so turning to a credit card.
Small amounts add up and interest goes on top to make a small
borrowing turn into a large debt over time. With the correct
management you can handle this better and so control the debt
easier.
If
you do have a larger debt you should consider the benifits of
a personal loan. You may find that with a personal loan you
could reduce your monthly outgoings and may get a better rate
of interest than with a large debt on a credit card over a long
period.
